Abstract
Anonymous is a hacktivist organization that has recently gained notoriety for its public leaks of info and for declaring war on President Trump. In my presentation I will be arguing that their use of the character V from the comic book V for Vendetta is more influential than other symbols because of the mysterious and "Anonymous" nature of the organization. I will also be arguing that their use of V as a symbol may stand against what they claim to represent on the surface but may reveal something about the deeper nature of their organization.
