Abstract

The family farm has been a staple of our society and is centered in American culture. Art works like the American Gothic show a window to our roots as an agrarian society. This paper will argue that family farms are disappearing. the land and assets once owned by families are being taken over by a corporate entity. Specifically, i will be arguing, through agricultural and social measurements, that family farms are disappearing and moving to a more corporate and business oriented model.
