«Ткань памяти» — продолжение предыдущей книги стихов, «Над бездной» (К.: Друкарський двiр Олега Федорова, 2022). Я несказанно рад, что стихи пишутся, и что я могу своим словом издалека поддержать друзей в борющейся Украине. В 2022 году история убыстрилась в сотни раз. Мы, может быть — последние, кто пишет на этом, стремительно исчезающем языке. В империи он умрёт от позора, его покроет вечная мерзлота. Нас, возможно, будут читать, как сегодня читают латынь — в будущих университетах свободных стран. Многие по всему миру замолчали в отчаянии — но те, кто могут ещё писать по-русски, должны превратить свой язык в действенное оружие, сделать его языком собственного голоса, тем языком, который остался для нас. Слава Україні!

The Fabric of Memory is a continuation of my previous book of poems, Above the Abyss (Kiev: Oleg Fedorov's Drukarsky Dvir, 2022). I am incredibly happy that poetry is being written, and that I can, with my words, support my friends in struggling Ukraine from afar. In 2022, history has accelerated a hundredfold. We may be the last ones writing in this rapidly disappearing language. In the empire, it will die of shame, covered in permafrost. We may be read the way Latin is read today—in the future universities of free countries. Many across the globe have fallen silent in despair—but those who can still write in Russian must turn their language into an effective weapon, make it the language of their own voice, the language that remains for us. Glory to Ukraine!
