Originally built as the West Virginia Colored Children's Home, located on US Rt 60 East of Huntington, W.Va., , from 3363 US Rt 60 to 3551 US Rt 60. Later the West Virginia Industrial Home for girls. Contained four buildings and 61 units which served as apartments for married students. The property was transferred to the Cabell County Board of Education for a new middle school.
Construction/Completion Date: 1922-1923. Formerly a girls’ state home; purchased in 1961 for married student housing.
