If you are a student (high school, undergraduate, or graduate) interested in becoming involved with the Appalachian Studies Association, please consider attending a session devoted to student participation and leadership at the 2014 Appalachian Studies Association conference at Marshall University. This open session will be part of the new “Come to the Table” initiative and will be structured as an “unconference,” providing opportunities for students to direct the agenda and outcomes of the meeting. An important outcome of this first session will be the nomination of one student member to the Appalachian Studies Association steering committee.
