French Ambassador M. herve Alphand presenting award to Elizabeth Arden, b&w Attached note reads: His Excellency, The French Ambassador M. Herve Alphand awards the order of Chevalier of the Legion of Honor to Elizabeth Arden. Presentation made at embassy reception, Washington D.C. In recognition of her contribution to the cosmetic industry, she was awarded the Légion d'Honneur by the French government in 1962.
