Fritzi Stifel of Wheeling receiving the women's title in 24th Annual WV State Golf Championship at White Sulphur Springs, b&w Fritzi was the West Virginia Women’s Amateur Golf Association champion ten times and at the time or her death was the only woman ever to be elected to the West Virginia Sportswriters’ Hall of Fame.
