Abstract

This study's main goal is to determine a digital divide in professions that preserve artefacts and records. This study will examine if professionals in the field of archeology, curation, preservation, etc struggle with the use of new technologies for digitizing artefacts and records. There are not many research studies on this topic. It would be good to understand if there is a digital divide as it would provide the evidence needed to improve the professionals abilities and access to technology in order to save and preserve more important materials digitally. I will conduct a survey and voluntary interview analysis of this issue in order to collect the most accurate information. It will include professionals in fields that use digital preservation technologies.
