WWII Pacific Theater, combat photo: US airplane landing site and supply camp, b&w. This was likely one of the two airplane landing sites for US military aircraft on Iwo Jima. Airplane in background is the army version of a DC-3. These are from a roll of film taken by Dickinson in 1944 & 1945. He was a Marine Sgt. that saw action at Tinian, Saipan, and Iwo Jima. He was born in Princeton, W.Va.
