Details of Moyer’s life and work have proven difficult to find. The only verifiable information comes from his sermon in Voices from Templed Hills, which indicates that he was the pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Parkersburg, West Virginia at the time the book was published in 1927. According to an
article in the Pittsburgh Press, an Earl B. Moyer was pastor of the Shinnston Baptist Church in Shinnston, West Virginia in 1922; it is likely, but not certain, that they are the same person.
