Cadiz, Harrison County, Ohio, native and captain in Company B, 30th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Diaries cover 1862 and 1863, mention Antietam and Vicksburg campaigns, as well as activities in West Virginia. Also includes tax receipts for Harrison County, Ohio, 1858-1863.
