In addition to manuscript materials, the Marshall University Special Collections Department is home to other materials covering a wide range of subjects reflecting historical events, business, education, arts, and sciences in the Huntington and regional area. The majority of these additional items have been accumulated over time or do not fit neatly into the definition of a manuscript collection, such as maps, vertical files, and rare books.
