Dr. Milen Parashkevov was born in 1973 in Shumen, Bulgaria, where he started playing the guitar at age of 10. He received the BMA in Guitar Performance from Mozarteum-Salzburg, Austria, and both the MMA and the DMA from Texas Tech University. A prizewinner of several international guitar performance and guitar composition competitions in the US, Canada, and Europe, Dr. Parashkevov is strongly interested in collaborating with non-guitarist composers, encouraging them to compose for the guitar. He is a faculty member at Campbell University, in North Carolina and his guitar works are published by the prestigious Bi!rben Edizjoni musica!i in Ancona, Italy.
