Lauren M. Dunseath is a cellist with diverse musical tastes. Her innovative recitals often combine both solo and duo works and span the gamut of the cello and piano repertoire, from Bach to world premieres. She also performs regularly in chamber and orchestral settings, and has an active teaching studio in Cleveland, Ohio, where she directs the Ohio City Cello Choir. Lauren completed her Bachelor's degree at SUNY Purchase under the tutelage of Julia Lichten. With the program's focus on chamber music, she had the opportunity to work with members of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, the

Mendelssohn Quartet, the Beaux Arts Trio, and the Guarneri Quartet, among others. Ms. Dunseath went on to receive her Master's degree in Cello Performance at Carnegie Mellon University with fellowships in Opera and Contemporary Music. While at CMU, she received the Wilkins Cello A ward, as well as a grant to perform in Perugia, Italy. As a chamber musician, she has won numerous competitions and performed internationally. In her career thus far, she has been fortunate to collaborate with a diverse array of musicians, from Kanye West to John Adams.
