    Diary of Bertha Casto, 1938

    Diary written by Bertha Casto, wife of Dr. Thomas Jefferson Casto of Charleston, West Virginia. This diary was written in January of 1938, the month of her death, with the final entry, January 29th, 1938, written by her husband detailing her death. This diary is a medical calendar diary and includes pages about medical practices, studies, and beliefs of the time. The final image is a card with the date Corda, Bertha and Thomas’s daughter, received the diary.

    This item was digitized as part of the Honors 480 course, Trash or Treasure: An Introduction to Archives. This item was digitized and metadata was provided by Hallie Mccoy in the fall 2021 semester.
