Borgmeyer, Dean

 
Borgmeyer was born in Missouri. He was ordained a Catholic priest in West Virginia in 1981; in 2018, Pope Francis designated him a Chaplain to His Holiness, which bestowed upon him the title of monsignor. Borgmeyer has served parishes throughout West Virginia: Charleston, 1981-83; Martinsburg, 1983-85; Welch and War, 1985-87; Wheeling, 1990-94; Nitro, 1994-2002; Star City, 2002-06; and Weirton, 2006-2012). From 1987-1990, he was a chaplain in the U.S. Navy. Since 2012, he has been pastor of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Huntington.
