Description

This sermon, on 1 Thessalonians 1:4, appeared in the January 1837 issue of the Pittsburgh-based Presbyterian Preacher. At the time of its publication, Bovell was working in Missouri, where he had moved around that time. He was thus no longer in Appalachia; the sermon is nonetheless included in the Library to help illustrate the full range of Bovell’s preaching.
