Scioto. 1 photograph : b&w ; 20 x 26 cm. Title from photograph. "On July 4, 1882, the Scioto, operating with the Wheeling & Parkersburg Packet Co., sank about 20 miles above Wheeling after a head-on collision with the John Lomas. The probably cause was carelessness, possibly due to the use of intoxicants." -- from caption attached to photograph.
