Abstract

Computer games already become one of the socially and popular entertainment in the human society, which not only affect people’s daily life, but also cause many hidden bad influence. Through out this research, the computer games will be separated into several parts to discuss. The game company issue, the players’ condition issue, etc. Those researches could be an easy way to help people to understand the ‘game world’ and ‘game world’s psychology’. The purpose of the study is to survey the social factors affect people’s choices of computer games. In my paper I will use the data collection, which is conducted by two ways. Firstly, I will use the Capstone survey questions which finished by Marshall University students. Secondly, I will use the quatrics posted online to do an online data collection, and the questions are open ended questions. Also, I will send those questions to Chinese people who play games by email. Once I get the answers back, I will paste it in a password protected service and delete the email. In those survey, people are also confirming that they are 18 years of age or older. In addition, participants may benefit from this research by gaining an awareness of the reason why people purchase in on-line games. Furthermore, finding out what kind of group of people choose to play what kind of games. Moreover, the basic understanding of why and how do transgender players, marriage system, etc. In addition, the differences attitudes and motivations in how players’ thought on games between Chinese and American people.
