WWI view: German or Italian 30 cm. field cannon, ca. 1917, b&w This is a set of images all made in 1917 & 1918 on the Italian front of WWI. Some captions in French, some in Italian. The mountains are probably in the neighborhood of Mount Grappa, Italy. Both the German and Italian Armies had 30 or 35 cm field cannon or fixed base cannon.
