"Don't Call Me Crazy:" Marshall University Mental Health Initiative Art Exhibition

Don't Call Me Crazy: Resiliency Through Art

Marshall University Library Exhibition 2019

Millions of Americans live with mental illness and mental disabilities, yet negative stigmas and fear often leave those most vulnerable isolated and in fear. Don't Call Me Crazy: Resiliency through Art seeks to highlight the diverse perspectives of those living with mental challenges and the family and friends who love and support them. We discover through artwork for multiple mediums and voices a nuanced life experience that is bigger than one perspective and yet illuminated from each voice. We hope that this exhibition is a creative conversation starter on Marshall University's campus that highlights the experiences and talent of our students, staff and faculty.
