GAR float in parade in front of Huntington, W.Va.'s new City Hall. Sign held up by men on end of float reads "GAR R.R." GAR stood for Grand Army of the Republic, the Union Army veterans’ group post-Civil War. The Huntington City Hall and fire station building in the background were completed in 1887.
