Railroad bridge abutment under construction, ca. 1900, b&w On top of the abutment is a manual crane used to manage the stone blocks. This series of photos are of the construction of a railroad around 1900. it is most likely either the West Virginia Midland RR or the Holly River & Addison RR which was later absorbed by the West Virginia Midland.
