Description
Steamboat Thealka, built 1899, image in black and white.. Circa 1900. Back reads: "Property of F. B. Lambert" Built Paintsville, Ky., 1899. Named for Alka Meek, title was supposed to be "The Alka" but person who painted the title on boat ran it together to make Thealka. Built for the Big Sandy River trade. A batwing, shallow draft boat. Still operating 1902.
