The Marshall University Alumni Association publishes the Alumni news for the university community. These publications inform alumni of news and events happening on campus, including education, research, sports and alumni activities. Through its publication the newsletter has varied in the number of times it has been published from once a month to twice a month or more. Currently it is published three times a year.
The Alumni publications were first published in 1959 with the title, "For You, Marshall Alumni". It was formerly published as “Alumni News Bulletin”. Starting with the December 1962 issue the title changed to, "Marshall Alumnus". The Spring and Fall issues in 1998 were titled “Marshall”. In 1999 the publication became a larger magazine issue and the name changed once again to the current title, "Marshall Magazine". The magazine is sent to members of the Marshall University Alumni Association and other friends of the university. Marshall Magazine is the official alumni publication of Marshall University.
