This sermon, on Galatians 5:13, appeared in the June 1848 issue of the Southern Methodist Pulpit, a periodical based in Richmond, Virginia. At the time of its publication, McAnally (spelled “McAnnally” here) was principal of the Knoxville Female Institute in Knoxville, Tennessee.
