Abstract
The perceptions and use of social media in the workplace has caused conflict among employers and employees. In some instances within the U.S., these disputes look to a judicial resolution. Consequently, these resolutions come at a significant cost to the organization and the employee. Therefore, it is essential that human resource managers resolve these issues prior to the irreconcilable differences that causes parties to seek Court intercession. The purpose of this paper is to present various problems HR managers encounter when dealing with social media in the workplace.
