The Office of University Communications publishes the online newsletter, “We Are…Marshall” for the university community. These newsletters inform employees of news and events happening on campus. Through its publication the newsletter has varied in the number of times it has been published from once a month to twice a month or more. Currently it is published once a week except over breaks.
The campus newspapers were first published in 1972 with the title, "Marshall University News Letter". Starting in 1978 the title changed to, "MU NewsLetter". With the September issue in 1999 the name changed once again to the current title, "We Are…Marshall: The Newsletter for Marshall University."
Print issues ended with the April 16, 2010 issue and employees began receiving issues electronically.
