Double Play flute and tuba celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2009, with performances scheduled nation-wide. Active as touring ensemble since 1989, this husband and wife team entertains and educates audiences of all ages via venues ranging from concert halls to schools, libraries and retirement communities. Recent highlights of their performance resume include appearances at Reinhardt College in Waleska, Georgia; the Glema Mahr Arts
Center in Madisonville, Kentucky, the National Music Museum in Vermillion, S. Dakota and Carnegie Library in Pittsburgh.
Amy Ridings, flutist, is a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory. Formerly a member of Quintessence Chamber Ensemble, she has performed as soloist with the New American chamber Ensemble and the Bach Aria Group.
Patrick Sciannella, tubaist, holds both a BM and MM from the Eastman school of Music. A former member of the Southwest and Genesee Brass Quintets, he has also performed with the Chautauqua and Phoenix Symphony Orchestras.
