Esin Gunduz is a jazz singer and composer from Istanbul, Turkey. This is her second year as a graduate assistant at Marshall University studying composition and theory with Dr. Mark Zanter. She received her B.A. in vocal jazz and composition from Istanbul Bilgi University. She worked with-Nukhet Ruacan, Yildiz Ibrahimova, Selen Gulun Can Kozlu, Imer Demirer and others including American jazz performers and educators Ricky Ford, Donovan Mixon and Lea Ceauri. Living in Istanbul gave her the opportunity to listen to world-known jazz musicians in festivals. She performed with her own band in jazz clubs and has been the soloist of Istanbul TRT Big Band
