Membership in the Concert Band is open to all Marshall University students as well as members of the Tri-State region who enjoy playing concert band literature. The band rehearses each Monday evening from 7-9pm during the academic semester. Students may enroll for academic credit by registering for either MUS 235 or MUS 435. The next rehearsal is Monday January 8, 2018.
BIOGRAPHY
Rob Johnson is the Early Morning and Midday anchor for WSAZ-TV. He started working for the station in 1984. He's worked in several capacities for the news team beginning as an intern before getting a full time job as a general assignment reporter. Since then, he has served as a producer and anchor. Rob is a graduate of Huntington High School and Indiana University. He and his wife Mary have one daughter, Ginny. Outside of work, Rob is very active in the community. He serves as President of Huntington Area Habitat for Humanity.
Susan Agazzi graduated with a French horn performance degree from Northern Illinois University. She was a seasonal horn player with Disney World, a member of the Taiwan National Symphony and a freelance musician in Columbus, Pittsburgh and Washington DC. She completed her course work for music education at Ohio State University and taught full and part time general music and beginning instrumental band with the Charles County (MD) Board of Education for 12 years. Susan has 3 grown children and is expecting her first grandchild in January. At Marshall University, Susan is pursuing her Masters of Music Education and is a graduate teaching assistant. Upon her graduation in May, she will return to the public school system to hopefully teach beginning and middle school band.
Bradley T. Brown is native of Princeton, WV. Bradley is a student of Captain Brian Walden pursing his Master of Arts Degree in Music with an Emphasis in Wind Conducting. Bradley graduated from Marshall University in 2016 with a degree in Trombone Performance, Magna Cum Laude. Bradley is currently employed as a Full-Time Music Teacher and Band Director for the Mingo County Schools at Matewan School. Prior to his appointment at Matewan, Bradley served as a Graduate Assistant with Marshall University School of Music in the music history and band areas. Bradley spends his free time designing drills and arranging for many high school marching bands across West Virginia.
