Description
This manuscript with the title "Making the Constitution Safe for Democracy (Marbury vs. Madison)" was written by Archer and he discusses the Supreme Court in the closing days of John Adams' administration. At the time, John Marshall was the Secretary of State, where he was appointed as Chief Justice to the Supreme Court in 1801, where he would serve until his death in 1835. Archer discusses how John Marshall worked to make the Constitution safe for democracy within these pages.
