Abstract

This collection consists of a bound manuscript titled, “Smith-Riffe Collection of New River Genealogy and Local History” by Aubrey O. Smith, Winton A. Riffe, and John F. Vallentine. The manuscript contains copies of materials related to the Clay family of southern West Virginia, including newspaper clippings, correspondence, and miscellaneous holograph notes.
