Pushboating up Big Sandy River, cyanotype mounted on cardboard. Description supplied by Mr. F. C. (Jack) Stump: Pushboating up Big Sandy River. J. W. Stump, Jr. stamped in upper left corner of cardboard back. These boats were used to deliver supplies to the construction camps for the railroads. The boats were frequently dismantled after their one-way trip.
