Description
Duluth, Missabe and Iron Range Railway Locomotive 222. "This engine was the most powerful steam locomotive ever built, but it was not the largest, as the Union Pacific "Big Boy" had it beat by six inches. This locomotive developed 140,000 pounds tractive force as opposed to the Union Pacific's 137,000 pounds." Stamped by photograhy co.:Basgen- Photography, 1322 East First Street, Duluth, 5, Minn. No. 62226,Refer to Above No. When Reordering This was a 2-8-8-4 type articulated engine.
