The West Virginia Library Association (WVLA) was established in 1914 to promote library service and librarianship in West Virginia. Since then, WVLA has offered leadership in the development and expansion of library services of all types. Through the work of its Divisions, Roundtables, and Committees, WVLA advocates for library issues, distributes public information, and develops continuing education opportunities.
