Presentation #1 Title

Rural Gifted Education

Presentation #1 Abstract or Summary

In this presentation, participants will learn about the efforts of a five-year, federally funded grant, Promoting PLACE in Rural Schools. The grant aims to increase the number of rural students eligible for gifted education services in low-income rural communities (six of the ten participating districts are in an Appalachian region), while also developing place-based, language arts curricula designed to meet the unique needs of rural learners. The presenter (the co-principal investigator on the grant) will discuss goals, implementation, and "lessons learned" thus far in the grant.

At-A-Glance Bio- Presenter #1
