Appalachia faces a devastating plague in drug addiction. It has killed thousands of residents across the greater Appalachian region, and wreaked havoc for tens of thousands of others. Tim Robinson, CEO of Addiction Recovery Care in eastern KY, will present on how his team has leveraged compassion and an entrepreneurial approach to save lives, heal families and create economic pathways for recovering addicts.
Over the past 5 years, Robinson's group has created economic opportunities for hundreds in the region including full time employment for nearly 200 employees - nearly half of whom are recovering addicts. Additionally, through the creation of a Peer Support Mentor Network, the group has trained another 100+ workers, all of whom are in recovery.
Robinson will give a multimedia presentation that includes a diverse range of recovery stories and information about how his group has collaborated and grown to be an economic success in Appalachia.

Tim Robinson is a social entrepreneur, attorney and evangelist. He is also a recovering addict. Robinson is the founder of Addiction Recovery Care, an organization in eastern KY that battles addiction and employees approximately 200 men and women- nearly half of whom are recovering addicts. Robinson and his team have used entrepreneurship to several residential recovery centers and a larger number of out patient centers, all of which operate in the Appalachian region of east Kentucky.
