Abstract

While American malls all around us are becoming dying malls or thriving successfully, I have narrowed my research down to three key areas for the people of West Virginia. We look at the Huntington Mall, the Charleston Town Center Mall, and Pullman square to see how they stack against each other and against previous research with other American Malls. We take a look at how businesses around them shape their success, as well as how they shape their own success within their space. Finally, who is considered to be a dying or dead retail space. The data suggests that the Huntington mall is a more sustaining retail area than the Charleston Mall and that Pullman Square is a more thriving area than the Charleston Mall.
