Ms. Deidre W. Craythorne, Child Care Program Manager, Division of Early Education, WV DHHR
Monica Hamilton is the Director for the Division of Family Assistance for the WV Department of Health and Human Resources. She has over nineteen years’ state government experience providing services to the citizens of West Virginia. She began her career with BCF in 1998 as an Economic Services Worker in the Kanawha District office. She has the held positions of a WV Works Supervisor, a Policy Specialist and lastly Program Manager in the Division of Family Assistance. Monica graduated from WV State College with a Bachelor of Science degree and is married to Tom Hamilton. They have twins and four grandchildren.
Ms. Heidi Staats, Health and Human Resource Specialist, Senior, Office of Nutrition Services (WIC)
Leonard A. Minor has worked for the Department of Health and Human Resources for 10 years and serves as the Family Assistance Policy Specialist. He has a BA in English from West Virginia Wesleyan, an MFA in Creative Writing from WVU, and an MA in English Literature from the University of Southern California. He worked as an Economic Service Worker in both the McDowell and Kanawha Districts, and as an Economic Service Supervisor in the Kanawha District. For the last 6 years, he worked as a Family Assistance Trainer. He recently joined the Division of Family Assistance Policy Unit as a SNAP Policy Specialist, where he hopes to put his research and writing experience to good use helping the citizens of West Virginia.
