Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to study factors relative to the location of industry in general, and, specifically, controls leading to the location of industry in the Middle Ohio River Valley.
Natural environmental and economic factors effecting industrial location vary from place to place and in different periods of time, but certain ot these points are likely to be found under practically any conditions.
The Middle Ohio River Valley has been selected tor study for two major reasons: (1) the area is local and of great interest to the writer, and (2) factors relating to the industrial development of this middle river valley are of regional and even national interest, since overall development will lead to the area growing into a major industrial sector of national importance.
