Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine current infant feeding practices as they concern infantile obesity. Our current practices will be compared to the historical factors such as feeding practices of one hundred years ago. Physical, cultural, and psychological factors of infantile obesity will also be considered with and compared to current infant feeding practices with a view toward establishing recommendations for the feeding of inf ants of our culture.
