This collection is an artificially created collection of photographs of individuals, groups, buildings, locations, and activities of the Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia tri-state region that the Marshall University Archives and Special Collections Department has accumulated over time. Items are foldered by subject or provenance where known. Topics of interest include the 1913 and 1937 floods, river and railroad scenes, and local businesses among many other subjects.

Ran coal from the Kanawha River to Cincinnati. This picture was probably made near the Pt. Pleasant bridge. Condemned in 1915, lost in the ice in 1918.
