This collection is an artificially created collection of photographs of individuals, groups, buildings, locations, and activities of the Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia tri-state region that the Marshall University Archives and Special Collections Department has accumulated over time. Items are foldered by subject or provenance where known. Topics of interest include the 1913 and 1937 floods, river and railroad scenes, and local businesses among many other subjects.

Andrews" was a stern-wheel tow boat built in 1894 and towed coal from the Kanawha River to Cincinnati and Louisville on the Ohio River. Name changed in 1912 to "Oscar F. Barrett."
