Session Description
2018 National Student Poet for the Southeast, Daniel Blokh, will read original works of poetry and lead participants in an interactive poetry writing session with prompts and exercises. Participants will then read and share their own works with each other. The National Student Poets Program is the nation's highest honor for teen poets grades 11 - 12 creating original work. A collaboration of the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, the Program strives to inspire other young people to achieve excellence in their own creative endeavors and promote the essential role of writing and the arts in academic and personal success.
