This research will seek to explore preisdential rhetoric surrounding the war on drugs from the Nixon presidency through the Trump presidency. How have the times changed? What drugs are focused on today compared to 40 years ago? How has the rhetoric transformed throughout the different presidents? What has this transformation done to the public's perspective about drugs?
