Abstract
This paper examines whether religion, and the aspects of it, can have an everlasting positive and or negative significance dealing with past or current trauma once and for all. When faced with the inevitable challenging times in life’s grand race, there will be a multitude of ways to cope with this said trauma. For example, some individuals could run to drugs or other substances to cancel out the pain of their hardship, while others could possibly resort to inflicting their grief and or pain onto others through the use of mental or even physical abuse. While these substances are damaging to ones physical body, emotional state, or even social status, others might endure their mental health in order to survive with their trauma experiences. Either option is detrimental to the individual’s health status or could lead to more serious issues such as the allowance of more trauma to enter their lives. Excluding the fact that the only way to deal with unfortunate circumstances are damaging to the physical and mental health, there are also more positive ways to interact with suffering that will help the individual to positively surpass their negative events within their past. Examples of positive ways to coexist with the damaging past relations are exercise, creative outlets such as drawing and or creative writing, and even comedy. However, even with these positive channels, they can often only have temporary significance when dealing with past experiences.
