Abstract
Sea level rise has put pressure upon coastal cities across the world. How exactly does sea level rise then affect the ability to insure a property and what will that affect be to the property values in Miami-Dade County? The purpose of this study is to measure the effects based upon data gathered from the years 2010 to 2020. The gathered data was on sea level rise and property value. Quantitative results of the variables of sea level rise and property value were assessed as to how the property value over time changed over time correlated to arise in sea level. A quantitative analysis of sea level rise and property value data indicated noc orrelation to a decrease in property value with a rise in sea level. Property values increased while at the same time sea level rise increased in the Miami-Dade area.
